CONTINUING THE STORY OF INNOVATION IN DALTON.

Industry. Growth. Innovation. Dalton’s story has remained tied to these three strings of fate since its founding in 1847. Entrepreneurial grit and courage have shaped our town over the last century and a half, and that same spirit continues today.

The Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce celebrates our industry community, from the bedspread innovation of Catherine Whitener to the birth of wall-to-wall carpet manufacturing in the 1960s. We have moved through various stages of growth in our town, supporting large-scale industry with hard-surface and carpet flooring, and now solar panels, vehicle parts, packaging, and more. The entrepreneurial spirit continues amongst small businesses and large industry alike, raising the economic tide of our town and creating opportunities for our region.

The Greater Dalton Chamber and partners the Joint Development Authority and Believe Greater Dalton have the best job in the world: a front row seat to our town’s growth. We help match innovation with resources, connect fellow entrepreneurs, and direct advocacy efforts with our business-friendly agenda.

From the President’s Desk

Do you know what marks a growing and prosperous community? A flourishing business ecosystem.

At the Greater Dalton Chamber, we believe every business deserves support for success, whether you're a student, a solopreneur, a small business, or a large industry. I've worked in business and government affair management for 17 years, and I've learned that two pillars determine a community's economic success: connections and community development. When the business community collaborates and advocates for one another, we see a dynamic business environment.

The other pillar of business success is community development. In a rapidly changing economic landscape, our aim is to make Dalton a place where businesses want to invest and their teams are excited to live. A large part of the Chamber's job is creating better quality of life in Dalton alongside business-friendly policies.

Assuming the leadership of the Chamber is more than a professional endeavour for me—it's a deep-seated commitment to harness my accumulated experience and skill set for the greater good of our community.

The Chamber is your outsourced business consultant. Let's ignite something greater for our community together!
