Small Business Person of the Year

Each year at the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet, a local business member is honored as the Small Business Person of the Year. This award is made in recognition of the outstanding contributions by an entrepreneur in our community.

The Small Business Person of the Year Award recognizes a business leader who owns and operates a for-profit company that employs 50 or fewer full-time employees, bears principal responsibility for operations, who has experienced recent business growth, and who is involved in the development and growth of the Greater Dalton community. The application for the Small Business Person of the Year Award will be available in the fall of 2021.

Diplomat of the Year

The Chamber Diplomat of the Year is awarded annually to the Diplomat who has exhibited exceptional attendance and embodies the traits of a public relations ambassador. Diplomat of the Year is based on number of points acquired during the Chamber year and is awarded at our annual banquet. "I am proud to be named Diplomat of the Year for 2020! As Chamber diplomats, we gladly volunteer our time for this community we call home. It's fun to be able to get to know each other and to meet countless new business owners throughout the year. My main focus is to drive sales and customer service for InventureIT, the only full-service IT firm in downtown Dalton. While I love telling people about InventureIT, it's the customer relationship that really matters. InventureIT can handle everything from software development, to new computer hardware, to networking, to app creation. Reach out anytime at www.inventureit.com." Todd Looper, 2020 Diplomat of the Year
