Hispanic Advisory Council: Founded in 2013, in an effort to increase our connectivity Latino businesses, this group has become a trusted source of council for our community. Tackling issues from increasing the voter turn out to keeping the Soccer program at Dalton State, the COVID-19 pandemic communications, the core leadership of this group has shown remarkable growth throughout the years. Through the advisement and assistance of the group we have begun Latino networking opportunities, classes, connections, and communications.
Business 101 in Spanish: As an outreach of the Hispanic Advisory Council, classes are taught to assist Latino business owners with basic business skills. These classes are provided by the University of Georgia’s Small Business Development Center.
