Dear Greater Dalton Chamber Members:
On behalf of the entire Executive Board of Directors, thank you for your partnership with your Chamber. We're proud that you're a member of the largest voice of business in Northwest Georgia!
The Chamber is a strong and respected voice in our community’s affairs. We will continue our pro-business agenda and connectivity on the local, state, and national levels to ensure we remain a strong and respected voice.
We will continue to grow our Hispanic Advisory Council, and are in-tune with our young professionals through the efforts of the Young Professionals of Northwest Georgia.
We will continue to partner with our K-12 school systems, Dalton State College, and Georgia Northwestern Technical College to ensure our students have excellent educational opportunities and our businesses have access to a talented local workforce.
The Chamber continues our extensive leadership development programs, including both Leadership Dalton-Whitfield and our Emerging Leaders Institute program. I am convinced that the way to build successful businesses is to build successful people, and then provide the opportunities and resources they need.
The Chamber has launched a five year community strategic plan called Believe Greater Dalton. Believe Greater Dalton includes six focus areas: An education partnership to align greater Dalton’s talent pipeline; pursuing a competitive and diverse housing stock; establishing downtown Dalton as a destination district; sustaining a best-practice economic development program; creating and sustaining a scalable physical hub for entrepreneurship in downtown Dalton; and a campaign to enhance community pride.
As a Chamber member you have access to numerous member services and opportunities to let your opinions be heard. Don’t forget we offer many benefits online such as job postings and hot deals that you can use from the comfort of your office. I encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities the Chamber provides. In addition to the Business Expo, we have meet-ups each month that focus on sales, exposure, and assistance.
