Welcome to Dalton

The citizens of Dalton and Whitfield County (2,220 of you, in fact!) came together to focus on what our community needs for the future – the things we must do to thrive, grow, and become more competitive.

We took that input, collected additional facts, and compared our community to nine similar southern towns.

Visit the Believe Greater Dalton website for information about the community vision and strategic plan.

Dalton is my hometown. I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. These people are a part of me. My old coaches and teachers, my friends, they have all had a part of my growing up.
Family business means something to me. My parents worked hard for many years. I am grateful for that and want to keep that going.

If you ask me what I love most about the greater Dalton area—the answer is simple—it’s the people.
